Protoship Send your build

Your ESP32 project works on the breadboard. We turn it into a finished device.

You send us your board, modules and firmware. We design a case that fits your exact board, a workshop in Germany builds everything in, flashes and tests your firmware, and you get it back as a finished device that runs on USB-C.

What you send

Hardware
Your working board and modules, as they are: dev board, display, sensors, wiring. Cheap Yellow Display, round AMOLED and e-paper boards, a Nano ESP32 with sensors and similar.
Firmware
Your repo, ESPHome YAML, Arduino sketch or the AI chat it came from.
The idea
Where it should live: on the desk, on the wall, in your hand.

What you get back

Your device
Built into a printed case made for your board, wiring tidied and fixed, your firmware flashed and tested, powered over USB-C.
The case files
STL and STEP, yours to keep, change and share.

Price and timing

You get a fixed price for your build before you ship anything. A typical build costs about 180 € in Germany, including VAT and return shipping; elsewhere in the EU we add the shipping. We ask for a 50 € deposit once you agree, credited to the price and refunded in full if we find we cannot do your build. Your device is back with you about three weeks after it reaches us.

What we build

Devices that run on USB at 5 V. No mains voltage, and no lithium batteries: if your build runs on a battery today, we make a USB-C version. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stay on your existing board or module; we do not solder radio modules. No toys for small children, medical devices or safety functions such as smoke or gas alarms.

Your parts stay yours: we work on your hardware and send it back. We start with builds from Germany and the EU.

How to start

Send one or more photos of the build, the board name, a link to the firmware, where it should live and your country to silas@protoship.dev. We answer within two working days with questions or a fixed price.
